Learning Guitar Inside and Out
Our Electric Guitar Build Workshops are a great summer project for anyone ages 12 and up and are a fun and exciting way to learn how an electric guitar works from the inside out. Here are just a few of the hands on experiences that students will participate in.
Pick a color and learn how to properly apply a simple finish.
Install and level frets.
Learn how to install Tuning Machine Heads and strings.
Learn how to solder electrical components such as pickup, volume, and tone knobs.
Learn how to Install a bridge and properly “set up” a guitar.
The body and neck are precut. The focus will be on finishing, assembling, and setting up the guitar so it will play great!
And, just in case you’re wondering. YES! They can take the guitar home, too. Wouldn’t it be great if their first electric guitar was the one they built for themselves!
