The Guitarist Studio Policy

Thank you for choosing us to be your musical mentor! You have found a great team of instructors that are not only talented and proficient in their instrument, but are gifted teachers as well.  We are looking forward to seeing you every week at your lesson and watching you grow as a musician!

Our commitment to you is to use your lesson time to help you become a better player on the instrument of your choice and to help develop your musicianship skills.  To achieve this goal, we need you, the student, to make coming to your weekly lesson a priority.  Yes, even those weeks when you didn’t get any practice!

As a studio, we want to attract and retain the most talented and gifted teachers and musicians in the Bay Area.  We are fortunate to have the teaching staff that we have and we want The Guitarist to be the best job they have ever had.

In order that we may serve you and maintain our excellent team of instructors, we ask that you adhere to the following studio policy.

1. More than 24 hour notice needs to be given before a scheduled lesson time to cancel that lesson and either receive a credit for the lesson or to reschedule. This allows the instructor to better plan their schedule and possibly use your time for a make-up lesson with another student. Please contact your instructor directly (be sure to exchange contact info) and the studio at TheGuitaristTeam@gmail.com when a lesson needs to be canceled.

2.  There are no make up lessons or lesson credits given for no shows or cancellations with less than 24 hour notice.

3. A weekly lesson is important when learning an instrument; that is why we are saving a lesson time for you and expect to see you weekly.  If a student becomes inconsistent in attending their reserved lesson time, the student will be at risk of losing that time to another student that can consistently fill that lesson time.

4. There are no refunds of lesson payments. Please complete all paid for lessons.

5. In the event that a student takes an extended vacation, we cannot guarantee the samelesson time upon their return.  We will, however, do our best to find a lesson time that works well with their schedule.

6. If a student takes an extended time off, unused lessons can be held for a period of 90 days. After 90 days, the unused lessons will be forfeited.

We hope you will get to know your instructor and that you will enjoy many years of learning music under their instruction and guidance.

Thank you!
